SYLT FOR THE YOUNG

Let’s head for Sylt! Welcome to Germany’s number one party island. Here you can rave around the clock: at one of the many beach parties, for example, where the roar of the waves mingles with hot rhythms, where you can dance, chat and celebrate barefoot in the sand. And in the morning, a dip in the North Sea revives your spirits…

But Sylt’s nightlife doesn’t stop there. Lots of bars, clubs and discos invite you to make a night of it. If you feel like ending the day in more leisurely way, you can watch the sun sink into the sea from one of the cosy beach bistros.

And during the day? How about some fun and fitness? Throughout summer, the Fun Beach on the Brandenburger Strand in the north of Westerland offers a daily programme of sporting activities ranging from boccia and beach volleyball, basketball and soccer to beach tamburello. If you want to keep the ball rolling indoors, the place to go is Lucky’s in Westerland, an American-style bowling alley with eight ten-pin bowling and four skittles lanes as well as two mini-lanes for kids and regular special events such as “Moonlight Bowling”. Add to that darts, billiards, table football and a large shuffleboard and there’ll never be a dull moment. After the game, you can top up your energy with spare ribs, “Amazing Fries” and other American snacks and dishes in the American Sportsbar & Restaurant.
